The Drought in Northland

Today we did an Acrostic Poem about the Drought in Northland.

It was really fun!

Here is mine;

Dry crispy grass, crunching under your feet.

Rain nowhere in sight.

Out of water.

Unhappy Farmers all round. 

Gigantic cracks everywhere you go.

Heat waves are too hot for anything and everything to handle.

The Algae are moving in.    

     

Swimming with Lee - Ann

Yesterday Lee Ann came to Oruaiti School to teach us different Swimming Techniques. Some of our Class knew some of the different styles.


Here are some of the styles Lee Ann tought us.

The First Style was called Gliding, which is basicly Torpedo Position.
The Second Style was called Super Man Freestyle.
The Third Style was the called Dimond Glide. 

It was really weird, but also really Fun!

We have recently been making many Posters for our Market Night towmorrow night here at Oruaiti School.

The History of Guitar Music

Recently we did a bit of history research. We researched about: The History of Rock music. We  put our Information into a Timeline, on Google Slides.

I really liked this lesson, even though I hate history. 

I also thought it was interesting because you got to learn new things that we didn't know before.

I really enjoyed discovering this art work. I thought it was very interesting because I never knew that this art work was ever real, that means I never knew a fact about Tukutuku Panels!
